Currently, I am employed in the Counseling/Academic Advising Center at Tunxis Community College to fulfill my internship responsibility.  Like the name implies, the Counseling/Academic Advising Center offers students personal counseling services and academic advising.  Also, offered is transfer counseling for those students that are ready to transfer to a four-year school, and career services for students who need help writing their résumés. 

I used my skills of self-marketing, which I learned in the Business Office Technology courses, to help me obtain this position.  It was also helpful that I used Professor Carbone as a reference.  This helped because the staff that I would be working with already knew Professor Carbone’s rigorous coursework; therefore, they all knew that I was well-trained.
